DM STUDIOS Creates Mini Storefronts for UPS Store Campaign
David Miniatures was selected to design and handcraft a series of highly detailed miniature storefronts for The UPS Store’s national campaign celebrating the next generation of entrepreneurs.
The campaign reimagined standard UPS Store PO Boxes as the first physical storefronts for emerging small businesses, transforming everyday mailboxes into beautifully crafted miniature retail spaces. Each storefront was custom-built to represent a real online business, capturing its unique branding, products, and identity through meticulous handcrafted details.
Working closely with the campaign’s creative team, David Miniatures fabricated every installation by hand, ensuring each piece accurately reflected the personality of the featured brands while fitting precisely within the dimensions of a standard PO Box. From custom signage and architectural details to miniature merchandise displays, every element was designed to create the illusion of a fully functioning storefront at an incredibly small scale. David’s designs were created for actual home businesses that were hand picked by UPS.
The campaign was featured across digital, social, and commercial advertising, earning industry recognition and being highlighted by Ad Age, one of the world’s leading publications covering advertising, marketing, and creative campaigns. The project was praised for its innovative approach to illustrating how digital-first entrepreneurs can establish a tangible presence in the physical world.
This collaboration highlights the type of commercial work David Miniatures is known for, combining exceptional craftsmanship with creative storytelling to produce memorable experiences for globally recognized brands. By transforming an everyday object into an immersive miniature installation, the project demonstrated how handcrafted artistry can bring ambitious creative concepts to life.
The UPS Store campaign stands as another example of David Miniatures’ commitment to creating one-of-a-kind miniature environments that blur the line between art, design, and advertising.
