Bringing Michael Rosenbaum’s Podcast Studio to Miniature Life
David Miniatures was commissioned by actor and podcast host Michael Rosenbaum, best known for his portrayal of Lex Luthor in the hit television series Smallville, to recreate the set of his acclaimed podcast Inside of You as a highly detailed miniature.
Over the years, Inside of You has become one of the most recognizable celebrity interview podcasts, featuring candid conversations with actors, comedians, musicians, and creators. Its distinctive studio has become instantly familiar to fans, making it the perfect subject for a miniature recreation.
The project required meticulous attention to detail, with every element carefully replicated to capture the atmosphere and personality of the original set. From the furniture and décor to the overall layout, the goal was to create a piece that would instantly transport viewers to the studio they know from the podcast.
While researching the set, David noticed that the same studio is also used for Talk Ville, the popular Smallville rewatch podcast co-hosted by Michael Rosenbaum and Tom Welling, who famously played Clark Kent/Superman in the series.
Rather than simply recreating the Inside of You studio, David decided to include an unexpected surprise. He designed an interchangeable Talk Ville sign overlay, allowing the miniature to transform into the set of Rosenbaum’s second podcast with a simple change. The addition was kept a secret until the project was revealed to Michael, making it a special bonus for the him.
